Job Summary:

The Heavy and Tractor-Trailer Truck Driver position will be responsible for loading and transporting materials and equipment to various construction sites in a safe and efficient manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Transports materials, tools, and equipment to and from construction sites, ensuring timely delivery of materials

• Adheres to traffic laws and safety regulations while driving

• Maneuvers trucks into loading or unloading positions, following signals from the loading crew and checking that vehicle and loading equipment are properly positioned

• Regularly inspects and secures cargo to ensure materials are delivered safely without damage during transportation

• Handles unexpected situations, such as truck breakdowns or accidents, with minimal disruption to the schedule

• Conducts pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition​

• Performs basic maintenance on the truck (e.g. checking fluids, brakes, and tires)

• Report any vehicle malfunctions, safety issues, or incidents to the supervisor promptly

• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) (C-License)

• Able to lift 5 lbs. (2kg)

• Ability to operate or drive a company vehicle

• Ability to read and follow instructions and communicate in a clear and prompt manner

Education and Experience:

• At least one (1) year experience Truck Trailer Driver​
