Position Overview:

We are seeking a dependable helper to support various operations on routes and in the yard. This role
involves performing a wide range of tasks, and the ideal candidate should be reliable, responsive, and
proactive.

Responsibilities:

• Support Waste Collection and Disposal: Support waste collection and disposal operations, including
  loading and unloading materials from collection vehicles.
  Provide support to drivers during waste collection and disposal operations.
  Conduct visual inspections of waste materials and report any issues, such as contamination or safety hazards,
  to the supervisor.

• Cleaning and Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of waste processing equipment
  and facilities to ensure optimal operation and safety.
  Help maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring that all waste is properly segregated and disposed
  of according to governmental regulations and company policies.

• Inventory Management: Help with inventory counts, stock organization, and restocking supplies as
  needed.

• Maintenance Reporting:

  • Report any damage or need for repairs to management.​

  • Identify and communicate areas needing special attention.

• Safety and Compliance: Follow safety procedures and guidelines for handling waste materials, including
  the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  Participate in training sessions and safety meetings to stay informed about best practices and regulatory
  requirements.

• Customer Interaction: Provide professional customer service by interacting appropriately with clients.

• Bin Preparation: Prepare waste bins by removing rust and cleaning and apply primer and paint to bins.

• Documentation: Complete any necessary paperwork or logs related to services, inventory, equipment use,
  or other tasks.

Qualifications:

• Reliable transportation.

• Ability to read and follow instructions and communicate in a clear and prompt manner.

• Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools safely.

• Physical fitness and the ability to perform tasks that may require lifting and manual labor.

Education and Experience:

• Prior experience operating tools and equipment such as scrapers, forklifts, grinders, and water blasters is a plus.

Full-time or part-time, depending on route
